Animation coming along

After doing quite a few short animations whilst at university during this last week I have just started creating my final animation which is due in for Tuesday. I've spider diagrammed all the ideas I can think of that can fit the time gap and drawn up a few simple sketches. After creating a small fighting sequence on after effects and watching some 2D animations such as Tarboy. I also looked I thought that this had loads of  for my final piece, I have now started to create a few pieces of scenery to make the animation a bit more exciting such as birds, a space ship and the moon. This will help to create and denote movement within my animation as they'll be a lot more moving within the canvas and as its such a big canvas it wont be too much to for the audience to take in.

(hours later) Having now properly started my final animation I came across quite a few little problems. Which have made it take a bit longer than I thought to finish just the background. My main hiccup was that the all of the backgrounds I created in illustrator were on a much smaller canvas compared to the 1920 by 1080 we're using on after effects, so when I came to transfer them into after effects I realised I'd have to resize them and edit slightly. After doing so I found that two of my backgrounds would only show up as a black image, instead of the pretty stars and dark blue sky. Because of this my animation has had to slightly change, but not a big difference at all. I have used background to create movement by moving them left to create a right motion, right to create a left motion, up to create a down motion and down to create an up motion. My next step is to add my characters into the animation
