I have finally finished 2 animations, very similar in narrative and content but this is a style I've grown to really like. Here's my first animation Flying animation. looking back on animations such as fat pie I used to watch a few years ago has made me come to realise how much I like animation, I feel I could definitely improve my skills thoroughly as I enjoy it so much. By creating my first animation allowed me to be a lot swifter in my 2nd animation, but did have a few similar problems to the first. For example my backgrounds had gaps between as they moved across the canvas, the only way I can see this working is either by creating a grid in after effects for the backgrounds to move on or creating much bigger backgrounds in illustrator.
I decided to try something new and take it a step further by using some a vector graphic in my second animation, this was something i wanted to do during my first animation but decided not to as we were told not to anyway. I thought it worked better than expected and was quite impressed in the end. I can definitley see myself learning to love aftrer effects and animation!
