Problems I have come Across in web

Well, where to start. I think that the first problem I came across when I started to design my website was that the background I created contained boxes for the content, Navigation bar and footer. This didn't work at all as I was trying to line up the text with the background to try and fit it in the boxes. After about 4 hours of doing this I actually got all 5 of my pages to be in line with the background and it did look really cool! But after testing my website for a while I realised that creating the site this way didn't give me any freedom at all, and when I minimized the page in the browser the text would no longer be in line. After talking to my tutor I knew it had to be changed so I tried to create the boxes separately and just apply each one to the background of correct div (content, footer etc). After doing this I found that the corners were missing on some of them so decided to keep it simple and just apply a coloured background to each div instead, which finally worked perfectly.
