My tutor stated that my first artefact barely linked to my plan and mainly didnt include the most relevant source, piranesi. Having received this feedback opened my eyes to find my tutor was right. My first artefact didnt include piranesi at all, therefore ive changed it.
so for my first artefact I am now going to create a game level using piranesi's etchings and ask players to determine what type of level it is. Whether thats an fps (first person shooter) or an rpg (role paying game) genre. This works well with my question as its allowing me to go through the process of transforming concept art into a levels environment.
This should allow bigger boundaries for my next artefact depending on results from my first. I believe this will lead me to why they thought it was the style of level and what aspects of the level made them think that. Therfore for my 2nd artefact ill be looking to add user helpers for the player for an fps, then for my 3rd artefact add user helpers for an rpg.
this should feedback what players expect from the genre of game. Depending which genre it is!
Having already re-created two etchings by piranesi ill be looking to use these in my first level design.
