Steam Punk project week 1/2

Well new year, new briefs and all animation! what more could I want than top make a Steam punk chess robot as my first project!

Having heard of a phew steam punk films such as Back to the Future and Wild Wild West I kind of understood the concept of what we were creating but the first night of research a friend who was round my house happened to know a hell of a lot! so within a short period I'd really got to understand the style and was already sketching my robot!

After a few seminars with Andy I decided to start creating my chess board and the pieces, this was because it was quite a big task to create all the pieces and make a chess board in steam punk style too.
